Family Support & Funeral Assistance

The Family Support and Funeral Assistance Programme provides once-off, voluntary access to practical support services and gratuities. These may be accessed by immediate family members regardless of whether a death has occurred, and are not triggered by any specific event, accident, or claim.

All services are rendered on a non-contractual, discretionary basis and are not associated with any risk transfer, policy, or financial obligation. No premiums are collected, and no claim process is followed. We are not an insurer, broker, or financial services provider.

Data Gratuity

A once-off allocation of up to 6GB across all major networks.

R89 worth of airtime, provided to a nominated number.

Upon request and subject to availability, members and their families may receive the following once-off support benefits:

Data Gratuity

A once-off allocation of up to 6GB of data, provided to a nominated number across all major networks. Intended for use in administrative coordination or personal communication during times of distress or disruption.

The benefit is not limited to one off on any death but can be used by the member up to 6 times per a 12 month cycle as long as the claim is not made within 30 calendar days from each other.

Funeral Support Access Service

These support services provide administrative and logistical assistance for families needing to plan a funeral. Services are available with or without a death, and are offered as access-based support only. No funeral costs are paid and no policy claim is implied.

Referral to funeral parlours, undertakers, crematoriums, and suppliers
Guidance on obtaining required documentation such as:
Burial Orders
Death Certificates
Municipal Permits
Assistance with obtaining quotes and comparing providers
Basic recommendations for cost-effective options or dignified low-cost solutions
Use of any third-party provider is at the member’s discretion and cost.

Family Support & Funeral Assistance

In your time of need you have access to practical support services and gratuities.

As a member of The Funeral Provider you get access to support services during your time of need in the form of Family Gratuity Support, Funeral Support Access and Repatriation Support Access.

The member or family is responsible for all related costs unless otherwise specified in writing as a once-off gratuity.

- Unabridged death certificate
- BI-14 Burial Order
- Embalming certificate
- Passport copies
- Border letters and public health clearance

Coordination with the family and liaison with municipalities, border officials, or service providers
